A fleet of supercars converged on Southland this week, as the North Island-based NZ Super Car Club reached the halfway point of its nationwide tour.
Club chairman Neil Inns said the tour had been in the works for a few months, and members who wished to take part had to present a negative rapid antigen test and abide by Covid precautionary measures while travelling.
He said about 20 cars were on the tour, and their owners were mostly North Islanders from various regions.
Parked outside the Quest Hotel in Invercargill, the cars proved to be a popular display for residents with many stopping to take photos and selfies with the vehicles throughout the afternoon.
